Duel Launches Arena With 12 PvP Games, From Tetris to Poker

Intro

Duel's new Arena lets players stake money against each other in 12 browser games. The games are familiar. The question of who — or what — is playing on the other side is less straightforward.

Duel Arena: 12 PvP Games With Real-Money Stakes

A game of Flappy Bird used to cost you a few seconds and perhaps your patience. At Duel, it can now cost you money.

The crypto casino has opened Arena, a beta section that turns a dozen familiar browser games into player-versus-player contests. The lineup includes Tetris, Sudoku, 8 Ball, and others, alongside poker and several decidedly less conventional guessing games.

What Games Can You Play in Duel Arena?

Duel Arena features 12 games: 8 Ball, EthnoGuessr, Tetris, Wordle, Poker, Type Racer, Sudoku, LinkedIn or Interpol, Color Find, Flappy Bird, Connect, and Tranny or Not.

The games offer different types of challenges. Flappy Bird and 8 Ball test coordination and precision, while Type Racer rewards fast typing and Color Find challenges players to spot the right colour as quickly as possible. Connect and Sudoku focus more on logic and strategy, while games like LinkedIn or Interpol involve guessing who appears in a photograph.

This variety gives players several ways to compete, whether they prefer quick reflexes, puzzles, or head-to-head strategy.

How Does Duel Arena Work?

Each Arena game is a one-on-one match between two players. You can create a room and invite a friend or join another player's game, with wager amounts agreed upon before the match begins. Free matches are also available.

The rules depend on the game. Some challenges are based on speed and accuracy, while others involve multiple rounds or strategic decisions. Players can check the rules of each game before taking part.

Arena also has a friends list, game invitations, and social settings that let users block unwanted requests. Those who prefer to watch can spectate ongoing matches and see the displayed prize pots.

Can Players Use Bots in Duel Arena?

Playing against another person online comes with one obvious risk: you can't always know whether your opponent is playing fairly. In games like Color Find, Type Racer, and Flappy Bird, automated scripts could potentially react faster and more accurately than a human player.

Duel's Terms of Service explicitly prohibit using bots, scripts, or automated systems to gain an unfair advantage. The casino may void bets or winnings and suspend accounts for such violations. However, the rules don't explain in detail how suspected cheating is investigated in individual Arena matches.

A New Way to Compete at Duel

Duel had already explored player-versus-player betting with its Rock Paper Scissors game. Arena builds on that idea, giving friends, streamers, and online communities more ways to compete directly against each other.

Arena is currently in beta. CoinGambling has checked the game interfaces and rules and observed live matches, but hasn't tested the games with real-money wagers yet.
